6. Wearing Indecent Undergarments For Christmas, Raw 1997
Nowadays, to celebrate the holidays, Mick Foley may dress up as Santa Claus on Raw, and you can always count on the annual Tribute to the Troops show. Back in the late 1990s, WWE did things a little bit differently. On the last Raw before Christmas, Vader was Santa, Goldust tried to be a Christmas tree, and DX showed everyone where the mistletoe was. It may not have been a show for the kiddies, but they should have been in bed with visions of sugarplums anyway. When DX arrived to the ring in robes and Jim Ross mentioned how busy the censors would be that night, you knew you were in for something good. As Michaels and Triple H targeted the likes of The New Age Outlaws (who were not yet aligned with DX) and The Undertaker in a promo, the two Superstars eventually dropped their robes, showing off white boxers with faux red ribbons. Then, with Chyna in the middle, they turned around so that their rears were facing the camera. Michaels and Trips tore off the demure boxers, showing off white thongs. With both men and Chyna, their butts spelled out "Merry X-Mas." JR's direct quote of "would you look at those nuts" was fantastic.
