10 Most Over-Rated Wrestlers Of 2015

10. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is so far down on this list because it's not really fans that rate him. Instead, it's those behind the scenes at World Wrestling Entertainment that think he's the bee's knees. Vince McMahon and his crew see Reigns as the kind of babyface who can lead them for years, but that conflicts heavily with how many wrestling enthusiasts perceive him. There's a problem there, because it comes across like WWE are trying to force him down people's throats. Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble, defeated Daniel Bryan at Fast Lane, and then headlined WrestleMania 31 opposite Brock Lesnar. On no occasion were his performances bad, but it's not really his in-ring work which is the issue. Between the ropes, Roman is capable of producing entertaining matches (just look at his Hell In A Cell bout against Bray Wyatt for proof of that). It's everything else which lets the side down, from his connection with fans to his hammy, unsure work on the microphone. There's a reason men like Steve Austin, The Rock and Hulk Hogan became top babyfaces. In short, all of those men had attributes spread across their full act. No, Hogan wasn't a technical wizard inside the ring, but he gave people what they wanted to see and could talk better than just about anyone. Roman's weaknesses are more glaring than his strengths right now.
