The entire wrestling world sat stunned when both Scott Hall and Kevin Nash waltzed out onto WCW television in the Summer of 1996. Over the period of a few months, there was no hotter story than the one revolving around the men who previously portrayed Razor Ramon and Diesel in the WWF. People wanted to know why these 'Outsiders' were in WCW, and what their intentions were.

Eventually, it would be revealed that they had concocted a plan with Hulk Hogan to form the original New World Order. It was a shocking series of events, but one of the absolute best storylines ever. As a collective, Hall and Nash were the perfect fit. Known as The Outsiders, they quickly became one of WCW's most over tag-teams to date.

The Outsiders were supposed to play the role of vicious heels, but fans couldn't get enough of them. There were boos, of course, but for the most part Hall and Nash were simply too cool for WCW's core fan base to reject outright. Thus, the team - which held the WCW Tag-Team Titles on numerous occasions - can only be considered one of the most popular in company folklore.
