10 Most Overlooked WWE Hell In A Cell Spots

1. Shawn Michaels Piledrives Undertaker Onto Ring Steps (Badd Blood 1997)

It's quite frankly amazing that just two months after Owen Hart temporarily paralyzed Steve Austin by botching a piledriver in the middle of the ring at SummerSlam, the powers that be would allow Shawn Michaels to attempt the same thing to The Undertaker. Onto the ring steps.

Forget about Michaels falling off the side of the cage and through the announce table. Forget him being lawn-darted into the side of the cage. This was the stunt that put this match into extreme territory.

Maybe it's just that piledrivers are so taboo these days - or maybe it's just tough to shake the image of Austin slumped over in the ring with a busted neck - but there's something truly spine-tingling about watching a smaller guy like HBK perform the move on 'Taker, who outweighs him by a good 100 pounds and, perhaps more importantly, has about 8 inches on him.

This would never get approved today, and with good reason. But it certainly added an element of intensity to an already wild match.
