10 Most Overlooked WWE Hell In A Cell Spots

2. Mick Foley Gets Slammed Onto Thumb Tacks...Twice (King Of The Ring 1998)

Mick Foley's breathtaking launch off the top of the cell at King of the Ring was a career-defining moment. Watching him careen through the air before violently smashing through that announce table is the closest a lot of people will ever get to seeing a genuine car crash.

And the follow-up, an even more savage chokeslam through the cage roof and all the way down to the stiff mat below, cemented his legacy amongst WWE fans as the most hardcore guy on the roster by a long shot.

So it makes sense that after watching so much human melee occur in just one match our brains simply couldn't register anything else. But the match featured another truly savage spot that fans would still be talking about today if it happened during any other match.

With Foley riding piggyback, The Undertaker stumbles over toward the pile of thumb tacks in the middle of the ring, and drops back onto them with all of his weight. Remember when Randy Orton took a flashier bump onto tacks at Backlash 2004? This was 10 times harsher than that.

And just for good measure, 'Taker then picks him back up and chokeslams him onto them once more. Ya know, just in case there were any tacks that hadn't already buried themselves into Foley's back.
