10 Most Overrated Wrestlers Of The '90s

We, as wrestling fans, can all agree on one thing and one thing only: a lot of the industry's superstars are overrated. And underrated. And just generally unfairly rated. In fact, it would seem that almost no person to ever step foot inside the squared circle has been adequately rated. 

According to the internet, they've all been either overhyped or underutilized, and we wouldn't blame you if you're just sick and tired of hearing everyone's dumb opinions about it.

But even though a lot of the whole over/underrated conversation is an example of wrestling fans dying to be outraged about something - anything - it is a little insane how many of the industry's main event guys look pretty unimpressive when they're put under the microscope.

Seriously, looking at the utter lack of in-ring and on-the-mic abilities for some of these supposed superstars really makes you wonder how perceptive the average wrestling fan can be in letting these guys achieve the ridiculous heights of popularity they managed.

The fact is, none of the people on this list are really that impressive when you take a step back from the fandom and examine their legacies up close.

P.S. Can't wait to hear from everyone how most of these guys are actually underrated.

The Steiner Brothers, as a tag team, are easily one of the best pairings of all time. Rick and Scott had undeniable chemistry in the ring, and they knew how to balance each other's personalities out. Rick was the scrappy 'eccentric,' whereas Scott was the oddly athletic bruiser.

But on his own, Big Poppa Pump is a prime example of a superstar who continuously got over with the fans because of his past accomplishments. "Sure, he kinda sucks as a performer now, but remember him from his days in the WWE? Let's all give him another chance," said every WCW fan in the mid to late-'90s.

Scott Steiner brought nothing to the table besides his gigantic, steroid-assisted biceps and that stupid goatee.

You can't even really say the guy was charismatic most of the time, because his whole personality - particularly during his chainmail headdress phase - was centered around referencing his sexual exploits. Loudly.
