No o one can argue that the British Bulldog enjoyed one of the most patriotic babyface runs in WWE history during the early 1990s. Even longer if you count his time with the Dynamite Kid in the 1980s as the tag team the British Bulldogs.

Literally draped from head to toe in the Union Jack, accompanied by an actual British Bulldog as his mascot - visually it doesn't come much more patriotic than the man with the running powerslam. Telling as well, that his in-ring charm and charisma was so strong that he is one of the rare examples of proud foreigners who got the American crowd to cheer him as a fan favourite.

In the late nineties his Britishness/Commenwealth-ness became a source of hot heel heat with the American fans, when he sided with his Canadian brothers in the Hart Foundation, showing that his identity as a patriot defined him in every era of his career, and played a huge part in his success.
