'I am a real American, fight for the rights of every man.' This subtle lyric in the opening line of the iconic entrance theme tells you all you need to know.

The red and yellow of Hulkamania had the blood of Americana running right through it, and in the 1980s and early-mid 1990s there was no bigger superstar.

Every promo inspired young fans aka 'Hulkamaniacs', to stand up for what's right, to say your prayers and take your vitamins. He was the epitome of the American dream. A figure who rose to the top and saw it as a duty to help his fellow man.

A larger than life character, who emerged in the latter part of the Cold War, during the Ronald Reagan era in the '80s, Hogan's bombastic, muscular patriotism captured the zeitgeist and helped him crossover into mainstream consciousness beyond the World Wrestling Federation, as it was known then.

A wrestling superpower that was victorious in almost all of his battles, Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania will forever be an icon of American identity. President Obama even used Hogan's theme before giving one of his speeches!
