10 Most Polarising Undertaker Moments Ever
9. Undertaker vs. Undertaker
Post-1994 Royal Rumble, the casket-bound Undertaker took a sabbatical from televised action to recharge his batteries in time for a Summer return that would give fans quite the doppelgänger showdown at SummerSlam.
Introduced by the 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase, the physical similarities of Brian Lee allowed for him to play dress up and mimic The Undertaker; this was countered by an irate Paul Bearer, who argued that DiBiase's 'Deadman' was a phoney and he was still awaiting the return of his most infamous client.
What happened next probably shouldn't have, especially not as the main event of the Summer's largest pay-per-view.
The idea had some merit, largely because of the story WWF officials were trying to weave (DiBiase's corrupt nature trying to cash in on The Undertaker), but the lack of pace in the resultant match really hurt proceedings; as if that wasn't enough, 'Taker vs. 'Taker had to follow a blistering Steel Cage war between brothers Bret and Owen Hart.
Decent idea in theory (depending on your point of view), but supremely flawed in execution.
