10 Most Protected WWE Finishing Moves Ever
5. Black Mass - Aleister Black
So devastating was Aleister Black's spinning back kick in WWE, he's renamed the move, in AEW, to The End.
It was a killer in NXT before it was a killer in AEW, though, benefitting the Dutchman enormously as he ascended to the top of the black-and-gold brand. And on the main roster? It made Aleister Black look like a stiff, potent brute amidst a sea of atrocious booking.
In short, the Black Mass ended goobers quicker than a Rikishi fart mid-Stinkface. Black's spin was snappy, the kick itself snapped necks, and the commentary? They completed the experience. Regular occurrences of Michael Cole and Corey Graves going ballistic when Black kicked heads clean off embellished the integrity and the importance of Aleister Black's finisher that, when connecting directly with the victim's face, made WWE look ten times better than anything Tomohiro Ishii ever did.
Its level of protection was akin to Razor Ramon and the Razor's Edge (more on him in a bit...). If Black wasn't winning, he wasn't doing the Black Mass. It was genius and it made Aleister Black look like a certified wrecking ball of a sports entertainer.
