10 Most Protected WWE Finishing Moves Ever

4. End Of Days - Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin thrived in NXT more than you'd care to admit. Though not a pillar of his era, Corbin played a pivotal role between 2014 and 2016 as the brand's resident bruising heel, which is why he was primarily positioned against the stars who WWE wished to build NXT around.

He was not without his own highlights, though; one of which was the mightily protected End of Days that sent Wrestling Twitter - that's Wrestling (Society) X to you now, partner - into a genuine frenzy when he debuted the first-of-its-kind move at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way. Corbin revolutionised the Flatliner almost two decades after Chris Kanyon had popularised it, and a measly 13 months after that, 'The Lone Wolf' was already making advancements to his own creation, adding the tilt-a-whirl transition to it when performing it on Chad Gable.

It was executed flawlessly.

As of writing, Drew McIntyre remains the only person to kick out of the move, doing so in a spot so blatantly obviously designed to turn a p*ss break match into the talk of the town. It worked, to be fair, but not in the manner WWE had intended. Fans were furious that the spot, if it had to occur, was wasted on someone who was already a two-time WWE Champion. It genuinely could've built a new star in an instant - but WWE doesn't want new stars.
