10 Most Protected WWE Wrestlers Ever

1. The Ultimate Warrior

Hands down, the most protected man in World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment history. Of course, this comes with the disclaimer that Warrior wasn't in the company for long at all, but the facts speak for themselves. The Ultimate Warrior was never cleanly pinned in his entire World Wrestling Federation career.

Sure, he lost twice, but both of these came via a whole heck of interference. It took Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan meddling to allow 'Ravishing' Rick Rude to pick up the victory at WrestleMania V, and Sgt. Slaughter was only able to defeat him at the Royal Rumble in 1991 after 'Macho King' Randy Savage cracked Warrior over the head with his sceptre.

To further ram home how strongly Warrior was booked, the man has the highest winning percentage in WWF of any man with over 100 matches, winning an incredible 89.4% of his bouts. The only guys with a higher winning percentage (all of whom wrestled less than 100 times) are Rick Steiner, Tom Zenk and El Torito, so read into that what you will.

Make no mistake, in the WrestleMania era The Ultimate Warrior is the most protected wrestler the company has seen. Although saying that, Ludvig Borga never lost a singles match at all...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
