10 Most Protected WWE Wrestlers Ever

6. Lex Luger

Ultimate Warrior WrestleMania VII

Lex Luger is another big name babyface who wasn't in the World Wrestling Federation for long, but didn't lose cleanly during his time there. In fact, Luger was booked so strongly in his WWF tenure that he didn't take a clean pinfall or submission defeat as a heel either. His tenure only lasted two and a half years, but an argument could be made for Luger being one of the strongest booked performers in WWF/E history,

Luger lost by pinfall on just one occasion during his run, and you'd be surprised to know that the man who holds this pinfall victory over the driver of the Lex Express is none other than Tatanka. The loss came at SummerSlam 1994, in a storyline involving the Million Dollar Corporation. The finish saw Ted DiBiase come to ringside and distract Luger, allowing Tatanka to roll him up and get the 1-2-3.

Not bad for a guy many feel never made it to the heights expected of him.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
