8. The Truth Commission

It's actually pretty crazy to think that the artist-formerly-known-as Kurrgan would go on to star in big budget movies such as 300 and Pacific Rim, especially when taking into account his humble beginnings in the WWF as part of The Truth Commission. A lot of fans probably don't remember the group, which was headed up by The Jackal, a guy who would go on to become Cyrus in ECW. The unit included the tag-team of Recon & Sniper, with the former part being played by Bull Buchanan. For this part, Sniper was played by Luc Poirier, a Canadian grappler who didn't really feature in the WWF outside of this gimmick. The tandem were pretty much little more than a jobber duo, something which is fair to say of the entire Truth Commission overall. There were rumours that the promotion had big plans for The Jackal, but he was gone by 1999, showing up in ECW shortly thereafter. Clearly, Kurrgan was being positioned as the star of the militant group, but he'd go on to experience quite the shift in character, more on that later.
