1. VINK

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic - when going to the shops was a day out, Tiger King was the only thing people talked about before the awkward family Zoom quizzes, and millions of people died worldwide - WWE arranged to deem itself "essential" in order to continue putting smiles on people's faces.

After all, it was essential that you saw your favourite WWE Superstars every week. You needed it. They were essential.

You couldn't bear to go on without Drew McIntyre. Rey Mysterio.

Brendan Vink.

Who?

Yes, Heath Slater wasn't the only strange character to pop up during what WWE referred to as "these unprecedented times".

Brendan Vink actually rules as a pro wrestler. As Duke Hudson in NXT, he's so good at doing ironic babyface work in his ruse to fool Chase University that he's unwittingly evolved into everything WWE looks for in a top guy.

This is now; then, he just...turned up on Raw with zero fanfare because holes needed filling by those who either didn't want to wrestle or those who had (probably) contracted the novel coronavirus.

In the most Raw development ever, on April 27, 2020, he and Shane Thorne defeated Ricochet and Cedric Alexander in 4:30. A week earlier, they had lost to the same team in 3:10.

What was the point?
