10 Most Repeated WWE Storylines

7. Family Drama

We don't get to choose our family. For better or for worse, we're stuck with them, and it's not as if Vince McMahon has any problem pitting family members against each other. He's practically made a career out of it. But this story doesn't start with him. For once.

WWE leaned hard into sibling rivalry when brothers Owen and Bret Hart engaged in a landmark 1994 storyline that saw them trade victories at WrestleMania X and SummerSlam. Built around a jealous Owen trying to escape his older brother's shadow, their matches relied on simple storytelling and an incredible workrate, not sensationalized drama.

Yet Owen and Bret's feud paled in comparison to the epic battles between the McMahon family or Undertaker and Kane during the Attitude Era. From crucifixions and higher powers to corporate buyouts and street fights, each McMahon family reunion was bloodier than the next.

Although bordering on the absurd, the McMahon family's defining moments made for addictive television. Surely, we can all remember our stomachs turning as Vince kissed Trish Stratus in front of his catatonic wife. Our eyes said no, our fingers couldn't change the channel.

Is it any wonder this storyline still has legs after so many years? It's easy to forgive our parents' misdeeds after watching WWE tackle family drama. Give your dad a break. At least he didn't sacrifice you to The Undertaker.
