In the WWF, Hulk Hogan was pushed as unstoppable.

He went years without losing his World Title, so we knew he was positioned as one of the toughest wrestlers around. But even at his peak, the WWF didn’t book him as ridiculously as WCW did when they had him and Randy Savage take on the entire Dungeon of Doom and a few other top stars in a cage match. Oh, sorry. I mean a Tower of Doom cage match!

Inside the Tower of Doom steel cage, the two old friends/foes took on a wide variety of opponents: Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Meng, The Barbarian, Lex Luger, The Taskmaster, Z-Gangsta and The Ultimate Solution.

That's an 8-on-2 match featuring the greatest heavyweight champion of all time, one of the greatest tag wrestlers of all time, Zeus, the guy who played Bane in Batman and Robin, and Lex Luger and a couple of other dudes.

With their powers combined they couldn’t beat Hogan and Savage?

Against all odds, the two 40+ year-olds made a mockery of the business and their opponents when they ran through all of them. I mean, I understand people having big egos and all, but even Hogan should have said “That's way too unrealistic, brother”.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
