In 1990, The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan put on one of the best WWF matches of all-time. At Halloween Havoc 1998, the two reunited to put on one of the worst WCW matches of all time.

The main event of the show had a hot DDP vs. Goldberg match, with Hogan and Warrior going on before. It’s a bit surprising anyone in the building stuck around for the end of the show. Hogan and Warrior are lucky the crowd didn’t riot!

Everything about the fight was ridiculous. There was too much stalling, the wrestling was embarrassingly awful and the finish was an all-time disaster.

Hogan pulled a plastic bag out of his pants, and quickly went to work on lighting some paper on fire to throw in Warrior’s face. The problem is it went off on his own hands, and Warrior had to sell that it hit him for a moment...and then he realised that was stupid because it wasn’t anywhere near him, so he hit Hogan with a bunch of clubbing blows for the next couple minutes.

The two seemed to be killing time before Horace Hogan (who had the charisma of a hot dog bun) came out and hit Warrior with a chair to end the brutal bout.

Pat Patterson meticulously booked their 1990 classic, but without someone in charge to lay some solid groundwork, they embarrassed themselves in front of hundreds of thousands of paying customers.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
