10 Most Ridiculous Wrestling Finishing Moves Ever

10. The Stink Face

Pioneered by Rikishi Phatu in the early 2000€™s, The Stink Face is a genuinely horrifying manoeuvre. For those of you that don€™t know, the move involves an Irish whip to the turnbuckle, whereupon a dazed opponent falls into a sitting position. At this point, Rikishi (a sumo-nappy clad Samoan super-heavyweight with an, um, shall we say, €˜ample posterior€™) runs on over and rubs his arse over the opponent€™s face, eventually forcing their nose between his cheeks and pulling their entire face into his bum like a smelly brown vortex of some sort. When it was a personal feud (although some might say that forced bum-play is ALWAYS personal), announcers would speculate on just what the big man may have eaten for lunch and how often he washed his nappy. Which is fair, I mean, it isn€™t like they could sell us on the idea that Rikishi€™s €˜buns of steel€™ were cutting off the carotid artery or anything...
Whilst most of us would definitely prefer to endure all manner of physical torture before experiencing that particular move, it still qualifies as a completely ridiculous finisher.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
