10 Most Ridiculous WWE Title Changes Of The 2000s

6. Orlando Jordan - Worst United States Champion In History?

Orlando Jordan was a totally generic babyface who wrestled with a style straight out of the OVW handbook when he debuted on WWE television in May 2003. Jordan spent a little over a year treading water as a face, working mainly on house shows or as a jobber on TV. Then, in mid-2004, Jordan got his break as JBL's 'Chief of Staff' and member of the WWE Champion's Cabinet stable. Jorda's association with JBL bagged him a United States Championship shot against John Cena, whom JBL was feuding with in the run up to WrestleMania. Incredibly, Jordan beat Cena to win the US Championship in their match on the March 3rd 2005 edition of Smackdown. And this began one of the worst United States Championship reigns in WWE history. WWE paired Jordan with Chris Benoit in an effort to teach him how to wrestle. Unfortunately, their match at the Great American Bash was a washout and Jordan got the blame. The next month at SummerSlam WWE, having clearly lost faith in Jordan, booked him to lose the belt to Benoit in 25.5 seconds. This started a storyline which would see Jordan lose three consecutive matches to Benoit in under one minute. It was what he deserved.
