10 Most SCATHING Times Wrestlers Buried WWE

9. WAY Longer, Come To Think Of It

Stone Cold Steve Austin has essentially said that WWE creative has sucked sh*t for 19 years.

That's over three times longer than his run on top!

A despondent Austin first buried the creative process in 2002 on Byte This, which for the benefit of younger fans was a quasi-kayfabe precursor to Talking Smack. Unhappy and paranoid that he was being phased out in the wake of a colossally f*cked Invasion angle, Austin was too miserable to break the pretence. "The writing has been piss-poor," he said, before adding that it was "pretty sh*tty". "The bottom line is everything sucks," he said plainly. He went on hiatus shortly thereafter, enjoyed the rarest of seminal swan songs a year later, and all's well that ends well.

Except he still takes every last opportunity to bury the living sh*t out of scripted promos.

It's a joy to watch him in this environment. On Broken Skull Sessions or the Stone Cold Podcast on WWE Network, Austin, wondering why guys can't just stare down the lens anymore, will interrogate a Vince McMahon or Triple H like they're the town sicko who just disappeared some kids.

Austin is the most cynical message board dweller there is, and yet you wouldn't tell him to touch grass, would you?
