7. Triple H - WrestleMania 32
After failing to make Roman Reigns a top babyface in time for WrestleMania 31, WWE's higher-ups decided to try and do it again for WrestleMania 32. This time, though, someone (probably Triple H) picked "The Game" to stand in Reigns's way as the heel titleholder.
At least at WrestleMania 31, there was a sense of drama over who would win the main event - the following year, there was no such tension. Though Triple H probably fancies a victory over him to be the highest honor any star can achieve, the fact is that "The Game" is far removed from his full-time days and fans know it - his title reign in 2016 was obviously temporary and Reigns's win over him was a given. Beating HHH at this point had little cachet.
The other problem was that after six hours of a pretty bad show, Triple H insisted on doing his usual boring match, leading to a WrestleMania main event that fans couldn't stomach. At that point, the best thing they could have done would have been to have Reigns squash HHH a la Goldberg squashing Lesnar - at least then, fans might have felt like they saw something important. Instead, HHH had to "put over" Reigns in his own way, further ruining the show.
