10 Most Shocking Appearances Of Blood In The PG Era

2. Brock Lesnar (Monday Night Raw, February 25th 2013)

Enzo Amore
WWE Network

Undoubtedly painful but visually spectacular, Brock Lesnar accidentally scuffing the side of his head on a ringpost at least generated a strong enough visual to drum up an acceptable level of interest for his first WrestleMania back since surprisingly returning to the WWE fold in 2012.

A pitiful SummerSlam match several months earlier hadn't generated the expected heat for robustly unsympathetic babyface Triple H, so WWE retooled the programme to have 'The Game' rebound from his August destruction as a hardened version of his old self.

Clad in leather jacket, denim and taped wrists (so you knew he really meant business), Triple H returned to save Vince McMahon from a Brock beatdown, brawling with 'The Beast' to set the stage for their 'Show of Shows' spectacle.

The camera tried to avoid focusing in on his legitimate crimson mask, as well as the streaks rapidly cascading down Lesnar's chest, but the usual flurry of medics were presumably too terrified of 'The Beast' to rush to the scene and tend to the gaping wound.

Nothing in the subsequent weeks (nor carried over from their summer skirmish) could equal the intensity from the segment, with their actual WrestleMania match not even coming close to this bloody brawl.
