10 Most Shocking Appearances Of Blood In The PG Era

3. Vince McMahon (SmackDown Live!, September 12th 2017)

Countlessly replayed since their Tuesday tussle, the Kevin Owens headbutt to Vince McMahon almost certainly represents the peak of 'KO's run on the blue brand, and an unadulterated high point of his middling feud with Shane McMahon.

Vince has a habit of practising what he preaches with regards to maximising his minutes, but the SmackDown Live! bloodletting contravened two huge rules he enforces on his contracted talents.

Unprotected shots to the head are broadly discouraged, with weapon shots in particular outlawed to avoid unnecessary attention from valued sponsors. That said, Vince's segments will usually be some of the most watched, and Owens' fierce attack on the chairman will remain a talking point for weeks.

Bleeding hardway after the 'Prizefighter' went in good and snug on the shot, Vince contravened his own 'no blood' policy, but almost certainly insisted the former Universal Champion do everything he could to open him up in interest of getting the angle over.

Though impactful in their own way, the subsequent superkick and bullfrog splash were merely post-platelet palette cleansers. Always visualising the money shot, McMahon knew the lasting images had already been cast, and instinctively didn't wipe away the sinister trickle from the middle of his forehead before Owens concluded the beating.
