Will there ever be a stranger reaction to such a titanic match at WrestleMania? At 'Mania XX, subtitled 'Where It All Begins Again', Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg were slated to go head-to-head in a massive bout. Only adding further intrigue to the situation, Steve Austin was billed as the Special Guest Referee for the match, and fans had their eyes on what would surely be a hard-hitting clash. Days before WrestleMania, news broke that both men would be leaving the company shortly after the event concluded. Goldberg wasn't too interested in renewing his WWE contract, and Brock wanted to try his hand at American Football, also citing burn out from the relentless schedule the company employ. What followed was a bizarre scenario during which both performers were jeered by the fans in Madison Square Garden. Amazingly, the only man who was cheered out of the trio was Austin, who found it hard to hide his smile at the odd circumstances. A lot of people forget that Goldberg would win the match, mainly because the fans were having too much fun letting their feelings be heard to care about the end result.
