Not only did Sheamus winning the WWE Championship shock wrestling fans all over the world, but the way in which he won the title had many fans questioning the company's true intentions.

In a Tables Match for the WWE Championship at the 2009 TLC Pay-Per-View, Sheamus won the title by putting John Cena through a table. The way in which Cena went through the wood was a bit anti-climactic and jumbled, leading many fans to think that it was not a part of the original storyline plans.

When fans start questioning whether or not what they just saw was "supposed to happen", you know you've got a candidate for a great shocking moment.

Sheamus would go on to become a multi-time world champion and his victory that night was proven to be much more than a fluke, but it still had many people scratching their heads in disbelief that the Irish-born newcomer had climbed the WWE mountain, and defeated its flagship performer, so quickly.
