10 Most Shocking Revelations From WWE In 2020

1. "A WrestleMania Like No Other"

Fans had begged for this for years - four, at least - but WWE's WrestleMania bombshell had precisely nothing to do with pleasing audiences and everything to do with not scaring them off for good.

After several stressful days of that allegedly saw Vince McMahon battling his case in meetings with the various authorities (against a global health crisis, not the people trying to make sure the people entering their state were safe), WrestleMania was pulled from Raymond James Stadium. Off it went to the less-than-ideal Performance Center, where WWE at very least had the hard camera facing the entrance rather than rows of empty chairs and the giant 'Show Of Shows' sign off to the side for fans to occasionally remember what it was they were watching.

This would have been untenable at seven hours or whatever ungodly length they'd chosen. As it was, the show was a welcome respite from the total collapse of the world as we knew it - at long last the escapist entertainment WWE is supposed to be. Just imagine how great all of that would feel with crowds in the venues too. And keep imagining, because that's the only place it'll happen the second McMahon gets the nod to completely reopen the turnstiles.
