10 Most Shocking Vince McMahon Controversies
5. Bullying In The Workplace
CM Punk once famously said "Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon alright. We do this whole bully campaign…” and while we'll never know what that story was, there's certainly enough to choose from when it comes to Vince McMahon.
There are countless tales of writers being starved while they work and being afraid to so much as sneeze, due to McMahon's strange hatred of the involuntary action.
McMahon's bizarre macho code has hindered the careers of several promising young stars, just because they don't react to situations in the way he'd expect them to. When Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine took an unscripted slap from McMahon without retaliating, it apparently soured the boss on the victor and when John Morrison didn't get revenge on Batista for stealing his girlfriend, his career suffered as a result.
The most obvious and continued example of McMahon's bullying comes in the form of one of his most loyal employees, Jim Ross. McMahon would often find excuses to embarrass JR whenever WWE would visit his home-state of Oklahoma, and on one occasion JR was informed of his move from Raw to SmackDown live on air, because people backstage thought it would be funny.
