One of the biggest open secrets in wrestling is that Jimmy Snuka was alleged to have more to do with the untimely death of his girlfriend Nancy Argentino in 1983, and a lot of people were waiting for the other shoe to drop when it came time to charge Snuka with an actual crime. 

Recently, Snuka was finally charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the case, which could end up having ramifications for Vince McMahon also.

There are various accounts of McMahon’s involvement with Snuka’s initial arrest and a lot of them point towards McMahon doing something to get Snuka off the hook. There are claims that McMahon tried to convince officers that Snuka was legitimately a savage who spoke no English, and in a conversation with the Argentino family’s attorney he reportedly said:

 “Look, I’m in the garbage business. If you think I’m going to be hurt by the revelation that one of my wrestles is a really violent individual, you’re mistaken”

Whatever happened in 1983, sources point towards McMahon knowing more than he lets on and could have legitimately obstructed justice by covering for Snuka. While the statute of limitations on such a crime has expired, McMahon could end up tried in the court of public opinion for his role in Argentino’s murder, should a reputable news outlet give it enough attention.
