In 2005, after teaming with Rey Mysterio for months, Eddie betrayed his longtime partner and friend, upset that no matter what he did, Eddie simply couldnt beat Rey. After threatening to divulge Reys Little Secret, Eddie promised not to reveal it if Rey defeated him in a match. Eddie continued to taunt Rey and make life hell for his family, including telling bed-time stories about how he impregnated a random woman and gave their child to Rey and his wife. This rivalry culminated in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005 with the custody of Dominic hanging above the ladder. While it wasnt the most logical storyline (probably due to WWEs higher-ups wanting Eddie to be more of an a**hole in his rivalry with Rey, so they made it personal by bringing Reys children into it), it was definitely a shocking moment. After weeks of build-up and subtle hints, when Eddie revealed this news to the world, it was one of the most memorable reveals in SmackDown history.
