10 Most Shocking WWE Revelations Ever

7. Triple H's "Plan B"

Seth Rollins' chair-swinging attack on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose was necessarily wicked, and immediately got across the extent of his callous betrayal just 24 hours removed from a cathartic victory for The Shield over the fraying remains of Triple H's Evolution. The real evolution, as it turned out, was in 'The Game's former NXT Champion.

It served not only as an act of untold violence and viciousness, but also as one of the great contemporary heel turns - perhaps the greatest of the 2010s. Ripping the hearts out of audiences that adored The Shield right at the point they collectively looked stronger than ever, Rollins' switch inadvertently preserved them in amber for the countless reunions in the years that followed.

Triple H had somehow got to Seth - his "Plan B" - and flipped the angle on its head as a result. It set all three on brand new trajectories whilst still at the height of their popularity.

Though results were frustratingly mixed for all three as singles stars in the immediate aftermath, the turn sent shockwaves through the fanbase in a manner very few side-switches do in the modern era. This was old school heat dragged into the present day.
