In arguably the most iconic Rumble moment ever, Shawn Michaels would pull off a typically unbelievable performance, going end-to-end in the Rumble match with The British Bulldog, with the superstars starting at numbers 1 and 2 respectively and emerging as the final two of the entire match as well! It capped off a great performance from the two men and would lead to the moment that arguably made Michaels as a main event guy. Anyone who's watched this Rumble knows what happened here: Bulldog, having tossed Michaels over the top and claimed victory, was busy soaking in the adulation of his fans. Unbeknownst to him, however, a plucky HBK was still holding on to the ropes, with both feet yet to touch the ground.
