10 Most Shocking WWE Survivor Series Moments

9. Shawn Michaels' Last World Title (2002)

The first Elimination Chamber match wasn't perfect, but it got a lot of things right. There was a great opening exchange between Rob Van Dam and Triple H highlighted by a Five Star Frog Splash from one of the pods, and Kane looked like an absolute monster, with his dominance forcing 'The Game,' Chris Jericho, and Shawn Michaels to unite against him.

WWE would perfect the formula over the following years, but while the Chamber has spawned countless great moments since its inception, few were as cathartic as the initial bout's conclusion.

HBK - a man many assumed was only there to fill out the numbers and draw nostalgia pops - left with the last World Title of his career. It boiled down to him and the man he'd fought in a brutal unsanctioned war at SummerSlam, Triple H, with a groggy, zombie-like Michaels looking close to death. The match had ruined him, but he fought through his exhaustion, blasted Hunter with a fateful Sweet Chain Music, and scored the 1-2-3.

The shot of a spent HBK posing inside the Chamber with the World Heavyweight Title draped over his shoulder remains one of his career's most iconic images. Nobody thought he'd win that night, but he did so in historic fashion.
