Now there's a glow up.
WALTER (he likes the all caps thing) was a record-setting NXT UK Champion back in 2020. However, there were rumblings behind the scenes that the big Austrian didn't want to commit to working for other WWE brands. Privately, WALTER didn't want to move to the United States full-time either. He'd have to if he wanted to shoot up the ladder.
Things eventually changed, and dramatically so. WALTER landed on NXT proper, changed his name to GUNTHER and remarkably never looked back.
Even reports that Vince McMahon wasn't keen couldn't stop him from eventually hitting the main roster and working a historic, lengthy Intercontinental Title reign that not-so-coincidentally took place almost entirely after the former Chairman resigned in disgrace for the first time.
Physically, GUNTHER worked hard to change his physique. He dropped weight, added lean muscle, and managed to maintain his aura into the bargain.
