Despite some corners of the Internet seeing all along that Matt Menard and Angelo Parker had enough charisma to power an entire city, WWE suddenly felt that the one-time Ever-Rise just weren't the sports entertainers they were looking for in June 2021.

Proving they well and truly had what it takes and then some from the minute 2point0 stopped by AEW programming for the first time a few months later, though, the duo absolutely erupted off the screen in their various backstage explosions and in-ring performances opposite the likes of Jon Moxley, Sting, Eddie Kingston, and Darby Allin.

They weren't done there, though.

Not too long after that unexpected delight of an initial spell, the larger-than-life duo fully embraced the heelish sports entertainer schtick alongside Chris Jericho and the rest of his Appreciation Society.

Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ange have not looked back ever since, forcing you to burst into a fit of laughter one moment with their nipple antics and saluting their willingness to put it all on the line inside of Blood & Guts the next.

And with Menard also effectively transitioning into the role of AEW commentator, too, getting cut from the NXT roster was likely the best thing that could've ever happened to these under-appreciated, wise-cracking goofballs.
