Tough Enough History: Season Five Not all Tough Enough alumni have made a name for themselves in WWE. Since WWE either misses out on talent or people just choose to move on, there are other success stories too. If you watch Lucha Underground with any regularity (you should if you are not) then you know who Son Of Havoc and Ivelisse are. They were introduced as a couple with Ivelisse working as a valet for Son Of Havoc, but also wrestling against the guys as well. Son Of Havoc was known as Matt Cross when he was on the fifth season of Tough Enough and even though he had been wrestling for about ten years, he was the second person eliminated. It was a surprising exit for him. Steve Austin simply said that he didn't show them enough. It was ridiculous that a veteran like him would be out before some people on that show who had no business being in the ring (Rima Fakih comes to mind), but that's the way it was. As for Ivelisse Velez, she was the seventh person eliminated due to a leg injury. WWE liked her enough to sign her to a developmental deal in 2011. She worked as Sofia Cortez there, but was released less than a year later. A lot of people were surprised at the release since she has talent. She worked the indies before landing with Lucha Underground in 2014 and she is doing a great job there. Since she's only 26 years old, perhaps that WWE door will be open for her down the road. Another former Tough Enough season five contestant, Martin Casaus, also appears in Lucha Underground although he's mostly just there to put people over. He's not in a featured role. They aren't the only former Tough Enough performers that are a part of Lucha Underground either.
