10 Most Surprising WWE Veterans

7. Curtis Axel (11 Years)

That Curtis Axel has been on the books of WWE for 11 years is pretty incredible when you consider the fact that he made his professional debut at the relatively late age of 27. He's basically only ever worked for the world's number one promotion.

The explanation for this, granted, is partly that he is the son of the legendary Mr Perfect - but although it was familial ties that got him his start in the business, it's definitely his own talent that has kept him there for so long.

For evidence of this, go back and look at the Intercontinental Title run he had in 2013, a promising period in his career in which he briefly became a Paul Heyman guy alongside CM Punk... before fizzling out in a forgettable tag team with Ryback.

These days, he earns his keep as a member of The Miztourage, which admittedly probably isn't where he would like to be in an ideal world. But hey: only an elite group of wrestlers are employed by the top company, and appearing on Raw virtually every week shouldn't be sniffed at.
