Throughout his career, Ray Traylor was often used as the kind of performer promotions felt ideal for making others look good. Relatively early in his WCW tenure during the mid-1990's, he turned heel and shifted from The Guardian Angel gimmick to being known as Big Bubba Rogers.

Quite clearly having fun again as a nasty brawler, Big Bubba contested a spirited match against Sting that is rarely talked about. Perhaps it's because the match took place on an otherwise duff pay-per-view, WCW Uncensored 1995.

That year wasn't rife with quality across the board on pay-per-view, but Rogers and Sting didn't get that particular memo.

There were no fancy stipulations here, they simply worked hard. When looking at Ray Traylor's career, his WCW stint is often glossed over. That's a shame, because some of his finest work is hidden, well away from the better-remembered Boss Man character.
