10 Most Under-Rated Steve Austin Matches Nobody Talks About

Has one of the best Austin vs Rock matches ever been forgotten?

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin is one of the most beloved stars in the history of the wrestling genre. Before he was regarded for his bald head and middle-finger giving, Austin was a sound mechanic inside the ring. Going as far back as the early-1990's, 'Stunning' Steve Austin was known to regularly light up WCW events with his excellent in-ring work. A combination of injuries would slow his pace however, forcing the man to re-adapt and evolve as a performer. Both of Austin's remarkably different styles are prevalent on this list, one which looks at 10 of the most under-rated matches the man has ever had. Some of these will be familiar to more hardcore wrestling fans, but casual enthusiasts should endeavour to check these bouts out as soon as they can. The earliest match included is from 1993, and the latest from 2002. WCW and WWF/WWE go under the microscope here, as do a myriad of different opponents. Most of the performers involved were known to be hard workers, those who favoured work rate over almost anything else. Similarly, that's something Steve Austin himself can claim. He was never afraid to put an intense shift in, regardless of circumstances. Hopefully, due to their inclusion here, these matches will begin to get much more recognition. They may not be the best bouts that Steve Austin ever had, but they should be celebrated much more than they are.
