Poor Damien Sandow, he's been shut out in the cold for much of 2015. It's somewhat crazy to think that Sandow previously held the 'Money In The Bank' briefcase in his possession. His descent down the roster can be directly traced back to when he cashed in against John Cena and lost in 2013. From that moment on, he's been an also-ran in WWE. In 2015, Sandow has teamed with both The Miz and Curtis Axel. His previous 'Intellectual Saviour' gimmick was canned for both of these units. With The Miz, he played a stuntman-style impersonator, renaming himself 'Damien Mizdow'. The character was played for laughs, and surely worked, but it was a lower-card comedy attraction. The very same could be said of his alliance with Axel, and the 'Macho Mandow' persona he subsequently played. Since, Sandow has returned to his old gimmick, but with a twist. Now a babyface, he hasn't really been featured much on WWE television. This is a shame, because he's an excellent talker and fans find him entertaining. It seems that officials behind the curtain don't share the same critical appraisal of the man, he's very much on the WWE fringes.
