10 Most Underrated Gimmicks Of WWE's New Generation Era
8. Kama
Although Charles Wright went through gimmicks faster than most cars go through oil, one of his short-lived characters that was just a tad ahead of its time was that of "The Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama. The idea of an Ultimate Fighter infiltrating the ranks of WWE was something that viewers actually took a liking to in 1995. The UFC was just starting to gain national recognition back then, and there was an air of mystery as to who these competitors were. That helped Kama get over as something of an enigma, landing himself in a very hurried feud with the Undertaker. Unfortunately, since this was the New Generation Era, nobody below the status of "The Hitman" or "The Heartbreak Kid" were allowed to build any real momentum. They had to hit strong out of the gate, or their ring attire was tossed back into the randomizer, where a new gimmick would be indiscriminately chucked out to them the next week. So was the fate of Kama, a gimmick before its time.
