Bagwell was the Albert of WCW. He was shuffled around the tag team division seemingly at random, coupling with whatever mid-carder didn't have much to do that week. His biggest push in the company came in an on-again/off-again relationship with Scott Steiner and the nWo. But long before Buff became a slightly comedic heel with a major ego problem, he was a George Michael wannabe and one half of the championship team The American Males. Alongside Scotty Riggs, Bagwell was a solid performer in the ring and had an ability to draw the crowd in. When he turned on Riggs, going heel in the process, Bagwell looked poised to breakout into the upper echelon of WCW. That never happened, though. Maybe it was backstage politics, or maybe management never considered him to be worthy carrying the company on his shoulders, but Bagwell never got the opportunity he deserved to really prove himself. He was a great talent in the ring and his mic skills got better each and every week. Sadly, though, he never made it as a main event level guy.
