The Teamsters vs. The Bad Guys also opened the Survivor Series event, this time in 1994, when WWE returned to the 5-on-5 style of elimination matches.

Diesel & Shawn Michaels teamed with Jim Neidhart, Owen Hart, and Jeff Jarrett to take on Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon, the Headshrinkers, 1-2-3 Kid, and the British Bulldog.

Often overlooked, the match mostly remembered for the split between Shawn Michaels and Diesel. It's also memorable for Diesel, similar to the 1994 Royal Rumble, running through the competition, Jackknifing and eliminating Fatu, 1-2-3 Kid, and Sione.

Shawn, sporting a braided hair-style that looked (for a minute) like he had cut his hair short, stood on the apron for 99% of the match. Michaels' only work came at the match's conclusion when, just like SummerSlam '94 when Diesel lost the Intercontinental Championship, Shawn accidentally blasted the big man with Sweet Chin Music.

This was the last straw for Diesel and he plowed through his partners, trying to get to Shawn. The honeymoon was over, Shawn and Diesel had split and their Tag Team Championships were abandoned.

Diesel would go on to win the WWE Championship days later while Michaels would win the next two Royal Rumbles and wrestle for the WWE title at WrestleManias XI and XII, but this is the match that started both men's main event careers.
