10 Most Underrated Undertaker WWE Rivalries

1. Bret Hart

The Undertaker and Bret Hart are two legendary figures in wrestling history, and both were near the top of their games when they collided over the WWF Championship in the summer of 1997. You'd think, then, that they would be able to produce a feud for the ages, but it hasn't exactly been remembered that way. That's because the real issue was between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, who had been feuding for most of the year (both in the ring and backstage). Undertaker, despite being Champion at the time, was simply a passenger. Despite this fact, Undertaker brought his A game in the pair's two major PPV matches. The first, at SummerSlam, was a blinder. In there with a master storyteller like Hart, 'Taker had one of his finest matches ever up to that point. The match ended in controversy when guest referee Michaels accidentally blasted Undertaker with a steel chair (he'd regret that one). This necessitated a rematch, which took place at the UK-only PPV One Night Only. Despite it being an eagerly-anticipated WWF Title rematch, theirs was not promoted on the event poster (which The Hitman put down to Kliq politics). Not that it matters much now, since the match stands as a total epic, and Bret's last truly great WWE match.
