10 Most Underrated Undertaker WWE Rivalries

5. Ken Kennedy

WWE (and Vince McMahon in particular) had seriously high hopes for Ken Kennedy. When he returned from a serious lat tear, suffered shortly after he made his TV debut in late 2005, he was thrown right into the main event mix, engaging in a short feud with Batista while also getting involved in DX's conflict with The McMahons. In September 2006, Kennedy declared that he wanted to leave Smackdown for Raw, since he'd beaten every top star on the Thursday night show. GM Teddy Long corrected him, noting that he might have beaten a lot of guys, but he'd never even faced the guy, The Undertaker. In order to try to get out of it, Kennedy presented a tribute to the Undertaker, which 'Taker rejected. When Kennedy tried to strike him with his personalised microphone, it blew up in his hand, in a cute moment. Their match at No Mercy was decent, with Kennedy picking up the win via DQ. The next month at Survivor Series the two clashed in a First Blood match. In the run-up to this one, Undertaker gave Kennedy a Carrie-esque bloodbath on Smackdown. But Kennedy would have the last laugh, winning the match thanks to some interference by a chair-swigning MVP. Their feud was settled at Armageddon in a decent Last Ride match, won by The Undertaker. The feud did wonders for Kennedy, as it showed that he could hang with a guy as respected as Undertaker in three big PPV matches, as well as carry the requisite promos and angles, too.
