10 Most Underrated Wrestlers In WWE Today

8. Curtis Axel

All three remaining Social Outcasts are talented guys in their own right, but Curtis Axel sits just above Bo Dallas and Heath Slater. His Intercontinental Title reign and spell as a “Paul Heyman Guy” were moderately successful, but ultimately fell flat on account of the former Michael McGillicutty’s lack of microphone skills.

He’s improved considerably since then, however, and after being assigned to train with The Rock and Brock Lesnar in preparation for their in-ring returns, it’s clear WWE have faith in his wrestling ability. Despite this, Axel has been held-back by a series of increasingly bad gimmicks since splitting with Heyman, and while Axelmania was good for a quick laugh, this is Curt Hennig’s son we’re talking about here. He deserves better.
