But while Paige certainly has time on her side, that’s not
quite as true for the Dudley Boyz. If anything, though, that only makes them an even more valuable commodity to the company.
Much like the case of the women’s division, the Draft has left the WWE’s tag team rosters rather thin on the ground. And yet Bubba Ray and D’Von, with a cumulative tally of 40 years’ experience between the two of them, are nowhere to be seen.
Actually, that’s not quite true; they’re alive and well on Superstars and Main Event. But is that really the place to put the one tag team with more World Championship wins than any other duo of the modern era?
I’m going to go with a resounding “no” on that one.
And as mentioned earlier, with time ticking for the both of them, if the company want to use their vast experience to help the new guys get over—as was the intention in their abridged feud with Enzo & Cass—now’s the time to act.
In truth they could still be push as one of the company’s top tag teams—that’s how good they still are together. But either way, WWE should bring back the tables, bring back their trash talk, and most importantly, bring back the Dudleys to prominence
