10 Most Underused Wrestlers In WWE Right Now
2. Bubba Ray Dudley
Then again, perhaps there’s another way to utilise the
Dudley Boys—or rather, to utilise one half of the tandem.
During his stint with TNA, Bubba Ray was afforded the chance to step aside from tag team action, and really carve out a niche for himself as a main event singles competitor. And he certainly did a stellar job, winning a pair of World titles, but more importantly developing the character of Bully Ray that was as convincing as it was successful.
And yet, Bubba’s never been given the chance to demonstrate that on the grand old WWE stage. So now, more than ever, with the Dudleys not really doing anything, and with the first half of his 40s now finished, this could be the moment to allow Bubba Ray to once again shine on his own.
Even if it’s just in a mid-card capacity, you feel he could deliver the goods. In fact, personally I get the impression he could be a hit at an even higher level—even recently, on Main Event, he’s been showing glimpses of that Bully persona that served him so well in the past.
Unfortunately, though, I doubt it’ll happen. The Draft was the perfect opportunity to split up the Dudleys and push Bubba Ray as a single star, and yet they let the opportunity pass by.
