10 Most Undeserving Hell In A Cell Competitors In WWE History

1. Ted DiBiase Jr.

There was a time when it seemed WWE had the utmost faith in Ted DiBiase to be the next big thing. The fans may not have completely bought it, but all signs pointed to DiBiase being the break-out star of Randy Orton's Legacy stable. He even followed John Cena in The Marine 2. In 2009, DiBiase, along with Cody Rhodes, not only had a Hell in a Cell match against D-Generation X, but the match main-evented the first Hell in a Cell PPV. Not The Undertaker v CM Punk, not John Cena v Randy Orton. Those two matches took place in the Cell, and both were for World Championships, but they didn't main event the show. While Cody Rhodes has had a healthy career, and managed to reinvent himself countless times, DiBiase never caught on with the WWE Universe. He tried out his dad's gimmick for a while, and had Maryse as a gold-digging girlfriend, but that just seemed too obvious. By the time his "Son of a rich man, man of the people" DiBiase Posse gimmick started, he was too far gone and chose not to renew his contract when it expired in 2013.
