Bayley is one of the women who helped elevate WWE's women's division to where it is today. It's easy to forget this, considering how she's regularly booked like an afterthought, but Bayley was a major part of the movement that shifted how women are now presented by the world's biggest wrestling promotion. 

Bayley's treatment in the spring of 2017 set the tone for her regular ritual humiliation. In one of the meanest segments of recent memory, WWE Women's Champion Alexa Bliss brought out a litany of people from Bayley's past for a 'This Is Your Life' segment that made everyone's favourite hugger look like the biggest dweeb to ever walk the Earth. It was laced with Vince-flavoured spite and was uncomfortably unpleasant.

This all happened on the road to a match at Extreme Rules. Bayley had been too nice to use a kendo stick the week before this horrible segment, before being smashed by Bliss with the instrument of destruction. This all meant Bayley would win her title back and batter Bliss after their Kendo Stick on a Pole Match, right? Of course not. 

After being hammered with the kendo stick again and again by Bliss, Bayley froze once again when she got her hand on it, took a DDT for the three count, and Bliss left raising the title and the kendo stick.
